Texture...

 

"You got a textured sides and back on your guitar?" you ask.  No, but I do have two Emeralds with the Crystal Ice texture; I like that, but I don't think Emerald offers that anymore.  But, this isn't about guitars... not everything is about guitars.  There are other important things in this world, like motorcycles and scooters... and no, this isn't about those, either.

We got our weekend update on the house from Steph - she was absolutely giddy at the beginning of the call: "Stucco!  We have stucco!"

Things are definitely moving along; it looks more like a real house each week.  Early on, these big changes made a difference.  All the detail work yet to be done will take time.  That said, it looks to all of us like the builder is ahead of schedule.  Other noticeable changes: the subway tile in the showers and tape (no texture) done to the drywall...

Curved edges on all the corners.  No grout on that tile in the showers, yet; it will be white.

Progress.

 It's fun to get these progress reports; nice to visit with our girl.  Oh, it was 116º there when she called.  We thought it was hot here today, when it got to 90º.
