If you said, "Buck Owens, 1964," you get 25 bonus points. Apparently, there are a bunch of other artists who have covered that or had a different song by that same name. This is the only answer that gets you bonus points. The judge's decision is final.
If you asked, "You were apart?" you get no bonus points, but the only apart the Blonde and I have had is driving separate to get here, and all the motorcycle riding I've done since we left that Black Hills last year. We rode together a few times at home, and twice while we were in Phoenix this winter, but it has been mostly solo riding for me. Today, we took both bikes out...
This is the only photo, since I didn't mount a camera on the bike today. With this being the first time Joan has ridden in a while, I didn't want any distractions. It was no issue, because she has been riding for a lot of years and it is like... well... riding a bike. (Just not the pedal variety.) She was back into it right away.
She requested some highway sweeping turns before getting into the really twisty stuff, so we took Hwy 79 south to Hwy 36, which leads to Custer State Park. The sky was getting seriously dark and threatening when we got to the park (the weather weasels didn't predict that), so we bought our season passes, then went east instead of into the park. We got our dose of twisties by taking Hwy 40 west to South Rockerville Road, then onto Neck Yoke Road. This routing kept us away from the rain shafts we could see to the northwest. We were surprised that the roads weren't packed with tourists... but, to be fair, none of these are what I would call "main drags" to the touristy places. We intentionally avoided Mt Rushmore and the Keystone area. In spite of all the tourists that come to the Black Hills, we are generally able to pick out back roads that give us fun riding without a lot of traffic. Iron Mountain Road is one of my favorites here, but one or two (or twelve) slow-moving vehicles can take the fun out of it, since there aren't many places to get around. Add to that the vehicles that stop at the entrance to the tunnels, blocking traffic from either direction... while they get a photo of Mt Rushmore through the tunnel with their phone... meaning it is wide angle and those faces are going to be a light colored dot on their images. But, I digress.
Highway 40 West has one particularly steep stretch (12% grade) with a couple good curves on the way up. I was impressed with how the CTX pulled up that steep road. After a couple months back in south Texas, it is really nice to have some fun riding again.
The riding was good. We're both tired, in a good way.

After supper, Ruf was ready for a walk. Turns out, he was ready for a long walk. The boy loves to walk in the grass here...
The sun getting low provided a nice backlight to show off that fluffy tail. And, he's a good boy. (drink)
