Looking at the UPS tracking, they are still showing "estimated delivery
today", while also showing that the guitar is still in Louisville...

The details...

Maury is right. The latest: the package has cleared import Customs and is on its way. If you can believe them, this is the second time it has cleared import Customs. Still showing "expected delivery today"... I still don't believe them.
Two advantages of paying for the courier shipping: faster delivery and tracking information. The faster delivery doesn't appear to be happening, and the tracking info seems to be part of a fairy tale. No, I am not pissed... more like amused. The New Guitar Day posts are popping up on the forums. My turn is coming. Probably. ;-)

Late afternoon, no change in the status in the tracking. UPS offers an online chat. The first person on that chat turned me over to someone else. The second person couldn't give me an actual delivery date... "Maybe by tomorrow morning you will get another delivery date." That was the resolution.
It's the theme of the day. We went out for lunch today and the waitress told us she is new and this is her "first week on my own." We told her we would be easy. She told us how she already had a table of rude people... I thought she was going to burst into tears. It didn't go smooth; when Joan's order came, it was completely wrong... chicken parmesan, with no chicken; 5 cheese ziti instead of spaghetti; ravioli instead of... well, I have no idea. We broke it to the young lady in a gentle way; told her, "This is all fixable." Everything took twice as long as it should... I'm kidding: three times as long. A manager came out and got things straightened out. We have some extra leftovers.
A "quick stop" at Walmart. An oxymoron. A group in front of us after checking out was walking at 1/10th speed, 6 across. No way around them. The greeter saw them blocking the exit and shrugged. Whatcha gonna do? Pretty much the same response as the chat guy from UPS.
