Where'd the water go?

Nothing to do with the tide - we're still in a time of higher than normal tides.  I'm taking about the water that runs through our plumbing.

We have received multiple notices that the water will be out on our island today - the main water pipe bringing water to our village has sections that need to be replaced.  Our management uses a calling system and e-mail blast to let folks know about things like this... it is a good way to get word directly to the residents.  Yet, you know there will some people who are going to say, "I didn't know!"

The water gets turned off at 9:00 this morning.  We are up and about earlier than usual to make sure we get showers in, breakfast dishes washed, and a few containers/buckets of water to take care of sanitary needs.  We'll turn off our tankless water heater.  We'll be ready.

Rufus knows something is up... "You people aren't doing it right!"  He has his routine.
