And now for something completely different...

If you said, "A line from Monty Python's Flying Circus movie of that same name, 1971," you get 20 bonus points.  If you said, "A day without you riding something somewhere," you are also correct, but no bonus points.

The weather weasels have been predicting rain for days.  Solid.  As it turns out, it hasn't been solid, but the threat has been such, that we didn't want to head out on the bikes... 'cause it was more than likely we'd get rained on before we got home.  Pretty sure I have voiced my distaste for riding in the rain.  I feel for the people who are in the area for the Sturgis Rally... especially if they are tent camping.  Been there, done that over the years - everything you own gets wet; so even if you aren't riding, you're still wearing wet clothes.

And, to add to the fun, it is cold and windy to go with the rain.  I'm joking - it isn't fun.  It was 62º when I got up this morning, and at 1:30 this afternoon, it is down to 57º.  In case you're concerned, Rufus did get in a short walk this morning, before the rain started again.  I did not get to ride anything.

It is going to be a movie afternoon, with some features Joan downloaded.  Odds are pretty good the thousands of people in tents aren't going to have that option.  And speaking of people camping: the last couple of years during the Rally, Hart Ranch has been completely full.  That is not the case, so far, this year.  It may be because they raised their nightly prices to members, or because Harley-Davidson had a shindig (and how often do you get to use that word?) in Milwaukee in July to celebrate their 120th Anniversary... I'm guessing some people had to choose between that and Sturgis.

I also feel for the hundreds of vendors - if they are in tents (not to be confused with: intense), there is a good chance that some of their merchandise is getting soggy.

Forecast for the week is cooler and wetter than usual.

The 24 hours is up: I can put the camera mount and camera on the helmet...

And, the view from the helmet...

I think it's going to work great, if it quits raining I'll find out.

We got our weekly house update from Steph and Dan: there were workers inside the house, so they couldn't go in.  From the outside, we have a driveway and the front doors are on...

Steph said she thinks the garages have been painted; couldn't see what else has been done.

Same orange porta-potty and green dumpster.  ;-)
