Couldn't take it...

So, you cracked, like the "Here's Johnny" post?

Thanks, but no.  I like to joke about being house-bound, but considering the first month after the new hip, these past four days were easy - heck, I could (and did) still exercise.  Put on a coat and hat, and did some walking.  We went out for lunch.  I walked around Wally World while we shopped for groceries.  I remember the months of winter when we lived in the frozen northland.

But, the sun came out this afternoon.  Oh, it was still cold (relatively) and windy, but I wanted to try out the helmet communicator and decided to take the Vespa out to get the current "scooter tag."  After getting the tag, I called Joan from my helmet - the sound on my end was great.  She said she couldn't tell I was riding.  She did hear the "click" when I opened the face shield on my helmet, and then could hear the "clank" when I rode over the metal partitions on our bridge; but, no wind noise that she could hear.

Of course, the real test will be when we are at highway speeds.  Maybe tomorrow.  After it warms up a bit.

Yeah, it felt good, even though it was a short ride.  :-)

Joan made me some hot chocolate with the added adult beverage again.  That feels good, too.
