Hello Muddah, hello Faddah Here I am at Camp Grenada Camp is very entertaining And they say we'll have some fun if it stops raining
For the past 4 days, our island has been "Camp Granada"... well, it has felt like that. It was 55ยบ at 8:30, when I bundled up and went for a bicycle ride. Glorious sunshine and not a lot of wind. It was very apparent by the number of people out and about that they had been feeling a bit cooped up. Or, some of it may have been curiosity: there were quite a few people who had to go look at "the hole" that is a significant water leak repair in progress. It affects all the Sea Cottages; they have been without water since early yesterday. A front end loader, a Bobcat, a jack-hammer, and workers with shovels were hard at it - we could see the activity from our deck. Others had to come from around the Village to gawk.
The bike ride felt good and was a nice way to "clear the cobwebs." The wind is down to 8 mph ENE; doesn't seem like much, but you still feel that cool wind when you are pedaling into it. I was wearing a stocking cap instead of my well-vented bike helmet.
