What a day for a run...

Out on Joan's scoot this morning, to test out the new riding gear.  Across the causeway, onto SPI, and turning onto Gulf Blvd, I saw a Police vehicle with lights flashing.  No, they weren't pulling me over, they were provide escort service for a run/walk sponsored by Whataburger.  The bicycle lane along Gulf Blvd was steady with participants; there were water stations every so often, to keep the runners/walkers hydrated.  And what a perfect morning for this: it was 73º as I rolled onto SPI.

I was inspired by all those folks out there, making miles.  No, not enough to peel off my riding gear and participate... while I admired their endeavor, I was more than happy to making my miles this morning on Joan's Xmax.  :-)

I rode the up island, past the Convention Center, past my favorite Wyland Whaling Wall featuring Orcas, then stopped to get a photo in the new gear...

78º when I stopped for that photo.  Cool as a cucumber.  Not sure how cool that is, but the mesh armored gear allows some nice airflow.

Out for a Sunday ride.
