Oh, shoot...

Video, that is.  Another beautiful day.  Out on the bicycle, breakfast, then out on the CTX.  I grabbed one of the 360 videos on the way out, just to keep my hand in the fun editing stuff.  Yeah, kidding - the editing isn't a lot of fun, but it can be interesting when you see what the camera captured after you get back home; certainly different from the "olden days" when you had to point the camera at what you wanted to see.  ;-)

I did my "loop": off our island, across the causeway, onto SPI, up Gulf Blvd, pass by the Wyland Whaling Wall, bop around a bit, then head home.  It gets me out and keeps me out of the pool halls.

I will probably do something with the video, but in the meantime, here are some stills...

Nice day for a ride.

Hello Jim - beautiful pics! I know you miss the scenic "twisties" of the Black Hills area, but glad you are getting some rides in. ANY ride on the Honda's I know bring a smile......how would I know you ask? I finally have my new 2022 Honda NC750X DCT. I feel fortunate to have this bike sitting in my garage with the demand so high and so many others waiting months for delivery. On the blog I am part of, many worldwide are still waiting, even after almost a year. One guy said Honda contacted him and said all 2022's were spoken for and if he still wanted to be on the waiting list, it would be a 2023, with no promised delivery date. 400 miles on my new bike in 2 weeks, and the center stand I ordered is in so I will bring it in for the first oil change Mid November and have them install the stand. I have 2 different windshields on order through Amazon, a GIVI touring and a Puig with build in air deflector. Will try both to see which I like best. On your bike, is that a "clip on" air deflector, or screwed in? I like how large it is. What brand? Will send you more riding thoughts later, but so far in heaven compared to the Burgman. The DCT is flawless and amazing. Also love the traditional feet down stance. With knees straddling the "Frunk", feel more in control and as one with the bike. Love the engine braking and downshifting. Easy on the brakes. Rear carrier, heated grips and deflector, crash bars and additional front lights all will come in the future when my savings is restored. Yes I paid full MSRP and all the crappy dealer fees, but got a 4 year warranty and endless smiles in store. Mt. Rainier and ocean trips and San Juans here I come, weather permitting. Anyhow, sorry for rambling but you and your bike were a huge inspiration. Pics coming soon. Greg

Hi Greg - congrats on the new bike! You made a good choice. For those of us who moved from decades of riding motorcycles, then to scooters, you really appreciate how the DCT is the best of both worlds.

The windshield extension I have on the CTX clamps on. The brand is Motoparty; I got it on Amazon for $33. It works great to reduce the noise and buffeting - just as good as the Laminar Lip I had on the Vespa, 1/3 the price, and more adjustability. Look for: motoparty motorcycle windshield extension.

I really like the "frunk" on the NC. Smart design. I look forward to hearing more about your new bike as you rack up the miles. Enjoy!
