Ride, Captain, Ride...

If you said, "Blues Image, 1970," you get 25 bonus points.  If you asked: "Out for a ride?", you are correct, but no bonus points.

Out for a ride with my Honey today; first time we've ridden together since we got home.  With the bleak fun factor on the local roads, it was riding to be riding.  We went out Ain'ta Mountain Road (a flat road with a decent road surface and two curves that are so gentle you'd have to be doing 90 mph to be able to lean even a few degrees).  No, we weren't doing 90 mph.  This is the antithesis of Iron Mountain Road (in the Black Hills, thus: Ain't a Mountain).  Still, it was a gorgeous day (sunny, high of 78º, light breeze, low humidity) and just nice to be out riding.

We stopped at a parking area that is part of the Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge; not to view any wildlife (not gonna happen mid-day), but to take a couple photos.  I didn't bring a camera along, so it was my phone and my Pocket Tripod...

From there, we rode back through Port Isabel and across the causeway to have lunch at Mahi Nic's - a casual lunch right at Sea Ranch Marina (a view of the boats).  A bit of cruising around, then back across the causeway, across the swing bridge, and home.  It was good to get out on the bikes with the two of us.

I kinda like these photos, and made a new cover photo for Facebook...

It was time - we sold the boat last year.  ;-)
