The Super Pink Moon...

A full moon tonight.  This one is called "the Pink Moon"... pink because it is the first full moon of spring, often corresponded with the early springtime blooms of a certain wildflower native to eastern North America: Phlox subulata—commonly called creeping phlox or moss phlox—which also went by the name “moss pink."  (from the Old Farmer's Almanac)

And super, because the moon is closer than typical in its current orbit; it will be the biggest and brightest full Moon of 2020.

As it first came up above the horizon, there was a light haze layer, causing the moon to have a color cast and appearing less distinct...

A lot of wispy clouds, as well.

I went back outside an hour later - more clouds, so it was a bit of a waiting game to get a clear shot...

So, if people seemed a bit weirder than usual (and nothing is "usual" during this virus crisis), it may not have been cabin fever or virus panic.
